KATHMANDU: Nepa Hima Trade Link — the sole authorised distributor of Sony Electronics in Nepal — has unveiled the Sony DSC H100 and the DSC H200 cameras in the market.

Combining the best of a compact camera and a DSLR, the new DSC-H100/H200 from Sony will take users up close and personal with landscapes and architecture with its optical zoom function, the company said, adding that

the easy-to-use cameras come fully packed with functions and features, making them a breeze to take extremely clear and beautiful images every time.

The H100/H200 feature a Super HAD CCD sensor with 16.1/20.1 effective megapixels for detailed images, while the powerful optical 21x zoom/26x zoom cover a broad range of focal lengths, from wide-angle 25mm, through super-telephoto 525mm, it claimed. “One no longer needs to take those extra steps backwards to shoot photos of large groups of people and wide areas.”

Wide and faraway panoramic landscape shots are now possible with the cameras’ 42x digital zoom.

Users can also fully utilise the six selectable shooting modes via the mode dial–scene selection, intelligent auto, programme, manual, sweep panorama and movie, it added.

The cameras even have a setting for smile detection sensitivity that can be set to slight, normal or big smile.

“The cameras run on AA batteries, meaning that one no longer has to worry about charging the camera throughout the journey.”

These new semi-professional cameras from Sony are available in all Sony stores and authorised outlets.
